The Land Trust is a charity that is committed to the long-term sustainable management of open space for community benefit. Your vision is to improve the quality of people’s lives by creating sustainable, high quality green spaces that deliver environmental, social and economic benefits.
Currently the Land Trust has an endowment of £180m and owns and manages around 6000 acres of land around the Country. The Trust works with both the private and public sectors and solves some of the challenges faced by the commercial or public sector who own land which is not suitable for development and provide management solutions for it to be public open space and green infrastructure.
The charity is passionate about the long-term management and investment in public open spaces, and the benefits that well managed land can bring to an area, including economic uplift; community, social and health benefits; educational opportunities and enhancing biodiversity and the wider environment. Place making and the building of communities is at the heart of the Trust.
The charity has great ambition, and the next CEO will lead a dedicated team of around forty, and work with a highly able board in realising the potential for the charity to grow even further.
The Land Trust is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all communities and backgrounds. All candidates are also requested to complete an online Diversity Monitoring Form which will be found at the end of the application process.
