South Kent Mind exists to ensure that anyone with a mental health problem has someone to turn to for advice and support and to improve the lives of people with mental health challenges in South Kent. We are affiliated to National Mind but are run independently with our own constitution, funding and an active board of Trustees.
For the last 32 years we have supported the people of South Kent with 75% of our members reporting an improved wellbeing and 98% reporting that South Kent Mind helped them to achieve a meaningful goal in life. We think that is great, but we know we can do more and we want to do more. That’s where you come in!
We are looking for a CEO to lead on delivering our 2020 strategic framework and to represent the charity by promoting its vision, mission, values and work to key stakeholders and the wider general public.
You will be leading the team and working with the Trustees to build relationships, source funding, seek new business opportunities and actively campaign against stigma, discrimination and bias to ensure better mental health provision locally and nationally.
You will bring a tireless commitment to breaking down barriers and improving the lives of others. On top of this you will have expertise in the charity sector and proven successful commercial acumen.
In return, you can look forward to all of the responsibility and involvement of an integral leadership role at an organisation that is changing the way the world thinks about mental health, whilst at the same time supporting and improving the lives of those with mental health challenges on a day-to-day basis.
When you join South Kent Mind you will see that we are committed to treating all employees fairly and to offering equal opportunities in all aspects of employment and advancement. We value diversity not just because it is the right thing to do, but because diverse teams perform better. Creating a culture in which everyone is welcome and offering equal opportunities in all aspects of employment and advancement is incredibly important to us. Fair consideration is given to applications from all applicants, including those with disabilities. If you need support at any point with your application, please let us know as we will be happy to help.
