Job Description: Chief Executive Officer
Contract / salary: Permanent / Circa £45,000pa dependent on experience.
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week). Some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the organisation e.g. occasional evenings and weekends
Place of work Based in Bristol at the charity’s offices and at home, as appropriate
Accountable to: Chair of the Board of Trustees
Overview of the Role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) works closely with the Board of Trustees to develop the strategic direction for the charity and implement and evaluate the associated business plans.
The CEO should build and maintain key external partnerships; representing Bristol Mind within Bristol and acting as the face of the charity, while also looking inward to ensure growth and stability with an inclusive and supportive working culture.
The CEO is an advocate for those with mental ill health, influencing the way mental health services are provided within the local community and nationally and accessing new sources of income.
Reports to the Board of Trustees as a whole, but line managed by the Chair of Trustees on behalf of the Board.
