Chief Executive Officer Full Time

As Cornerstone continues on its exciting journey of success, as part of our strategic evolution we are seeking a Senior appointment, a new Chief Executive Officer to lead, and shape our business over our next 5 year roadmap.

Main Purpose of the Role

• To shape the strategic direction of Cornerstone, whilst leading, coaching and inspiring our Senior Leadership team (SLT), driving alignment with strategic and commercial plans across the business.
• To deliver high performing, inspirational leadership to the organisation, whilst developing and deepening key successful partnerships with shareholders, executive stakeholders and customers.
• To be an ambassador for the business and become recognised externally as a significant voice in our market.
• To set the tone for our business, nurturing an environment where driving for results, ownership and achieving high performance is celebrated.
• This appointment will be responsible to the Board of Directors for the excellent performance of our business, delivering to agreed commercial and operational targets, exploiting market opportunities to deliver growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

• A strong, confident, tenacious executive with presence and the highest level of professional integrity
• A demonstrable, high-performing, inspirational leader, capable of forming and building successful partnerships with shareholders, customers and executive stakeholders. Our prospective CEO will continue to drive a positive and forward thinking culture, expanding on the current template with gravitas, intellectual leadership and credibility, whilst retaining approachability.
• Demonstrable experience of leading in a JV or “complicated” shareholder structure will be an advantage
• Experience at Executive level of M&A activity
• Both a strategic and a tactical thinker who seeks out and investigates future trends to share with the SLT and can articulate a vision others can be inspired by to drive the business engagement with those developments.
• A strong suite of authentic personal values that match those of Cornerstone’s culture which demands high performance but within a context of teamwork, transparency, open communication and mutual support
• A strong communicator with the ability to land messages clearly and quickly internally and externally and who can represent Cornerstone’s interests strongly, in a balanced way, in front of all stakeholders
• A highly developed commercial sense: a demonstrable track record of sound judgement, decision making with a commercially focused outcome
• Keen operational spirit: On the face of it, our business model is simple but we need a leader who can embrace and lead the search for new markets, business efficiencies and drive the use of automation for example to maximise profitability, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
