Deafblind UK is a charity deeply rooted and admired as the leading organisation supporting and representing individuals and families with dual sensory loss. Over the last 4 years under the outgoing CEO, they have gone from strength to strength and have ambitious plans for the future. The Chair and Trustees have now started their search for a strategic, talented and dynamic CEO to build on all of this great work and to have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, development, performance, culture, reputation, and success of Deafblind UK.
The Chief Executive will play a key role in delivering the strategy, setting the priorities, managing risks and ensuring the organisation achieves its full potential. Specifically, to deliver the strategic objectives and business plan targets, reach more people of all ages, grow and broaden the services, ensure a high level of service user satisfaction and achieve financial targets for a balanced budget and sustainable future.
Leading a large team of staff and volunteers and being the face of individuals and families with dual sensory loss across England, Wales and Northern Ireland the new CEO will be an experienced leader at Director or CEO level in a charity, social care, policy, fundraising or related sector including evidence of financial and performance management responsibility. Crucially to motivate, engage and develop the organisation to deliver high quality strategies and services.
