Blackpool Food Bank is a registered charity aimed at helping people who find themselves in food poverty. The charity has undergone considerable growth over recent years as its services have broadened and we are now a distributor/supplier of food to a wide network of organisations also providing food poverty support.
We were a founding member in the Blackpool Food Partnership providing food provision for the Blackpool area in partnership with the Local Authority, ecumenical partners, charities and community groups. This network has expanded and the provision and support has also grown significantly.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the strategic development of the Charity (in line with the board of Trustees). This will include the oversight of day to day operations and supervision of staff.
We are looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to supervise and control all strategic and business aspects of the charity. You will be the first in command in the charity and responsible for giving the proper strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success.
To thrive in this role, you must be a prudent manager and an inspiring leader. The ideal candidate will have a business mindset and will be able to see the “big picture” in a variety of settings. They will be responsible for the charity’s cash flow and need to have excellent people skills. Your goal is to drive the charity’s development and guide it towards long-term sustainability and success.
