Chief Executive Officer Full Time

Formed in 1984 Fairway Foodservice is a Buying and Marketing organisation with an Office in Huddersfield working exclusively on behalf of 20 foodservice wholesalers in the UK, Eire, Channel Isles and Spain. The collective turnover of these Member Companies was £621 million in 2020 (£805m in 2019).

Fairway Office has an experienced team of 8 and has 5 key functions.

Purchasing, Marketing, Technical, Finance and Administration.

The business is entirely focussed on helping, supporting and advising the Members in every aspect of their business.

We need a CHIEF EXECUTIVE (Director) who will be responsible for the management of the Company, Strategic direction of the company and strategic advice to the Member companies.

Ideally the applicant will have experience of general management in a multi discipline business and specifically experience of wholesale, food, foodservice and be financially astute as well as being approachable and sociable. Visiting Members and understanding their businesses, objectives and issues is a key part of the job as well as understanding the market place they operate in and identifying and preparing Members for key changes to their markets.

This is probably not like a “typical” CEO role- you will have 20 Customers who are all equal shareholders but are also “competitors” of each other.
