This is an exciting opportunity to join the College at a time when there is great scope and potential to help shape the future of the organisation and its impact on policing in line with our transformation programme. As the Chief Executive of the College of Policing, you will be responsible for the delivery of the College’s vision and strategy and, working with partners in other national policing bodies, creating excellent stakeholder relationships, and have a central role in implementing the next phase of substantial reform of the national policing landscape.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and experienced individual, to be part of a successful team and play a leading role to continue the significant improvements achieved and direct the College into the next phase of its journey.

Responsibilities

The role is demanding and very high profile at both national and local level. It therefore requires an excellent and influential leader with the ability to manage complex dynamics and work collaboratively with forces to achieve best outcomes for policing and society in England and Wales.

The role will suit someone who relishes a challenge to make a difference in the policing landscape including championing a proactive diversity agenda. Change management and business transformation skills will be vital, along with strong business and financial acumen. Above all, you should be a leader who is authentic, able to enthuse, empower and motivate those around you to achieve results.

An outstanding track record of improving services and demonstrating performance improvements on a sustained basis is a must for this unique post.
