University Hospitals Sussex is one of the largest and most complex NHS Trusts in England. With a workforce of nearly 20,000 and an operating budget of more than £1 billion we run seven hospitals as well as numerous community and satellite services, responsible for all district general acute services for Brighton and Hove, West and Mid Sussex and parts of East Sussex. We also provide specialised and tertiary services across Sussex and parts of the South East, including neuroscience, arterial vascular surgery, neonatology, specialised paediatric, cardiac, cancer, renal, infectious diseases and HIV medicine services.

The newly created roles will, alongside the Hospital Directors of Operations, form the Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Operating Officer’s senior team and are collectively responsible for the discharge of the Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Operating Officer’s objectives.
