At Shropshire Towns & Rural (STAR) Housing we are proud to manage tenancies, homes and neighbourhoods for Shropshire Council and the Housing Revenue Account. We also provide support and housing for the most vulnerable including homeless people. We pro-actively engage with our residents and together we live our vision to create quality homes and vibrant communities.

Following the retirement of our Managing Director, we are now looking for an inspirational leader. It is an excellent time to join STAR Housing following the award of a new 10-year contract to manage this key Council service. We have consistently delivered high levels of performance and we have forged a strong relationship with Shropshire Council. We recognise the potential to do more and our new Managing Director will work in partnership with Shropshire Council to develop even more services as we support them in delivering key community objectives.

This is, therefore, an exceptional opportunity for someone who will embrace our values, bring strategic vision, operate at pace and lead by example. Ambitious, and with extensive experience in a community-focused organisation or Council, you will either be an aspiring or established chief officer with an impressive track record of developing high-performing teams. Critical to success is your ability to build sustainable strategic partnerships and demonstrate the passion and drive to help our communities thrive.
